甲：世间的任何现象或事物，都可以看作是道的作品。
乙：可以这么说，但这里有个问题需要明确。
甲：什么问题？
乙：世间的一切，到底是道在表演，还是道在运作呢？
甲：这有什么区别吗？
乙：在我看来是不同的。比如道在表演的话，那就不是真的，像排戏一样，而若是道在运行，那就是真实的。
甲：你说的，很符合生活的逻辑，但不符合道的实情。
乙：道的实情是什么？
甲：道的实情是，满盘棋子，每走一步，每动一个，都无法悔棋，因此表演与运行没有区别呀。
乙：不会吧。道为了表现一个因果关系或规律、法则，它可以表现一个“情节或象”（相）来给众生看，以便于众生明理。
甲：嗯，是有这种情况。比如佛陀出世，慈悲教化众生就像是这样的，可这却不只是演戏呀，这是真实的道使然。众生心感应道交，道就现出了相。这可不同于“变魔术”啊，只给一种“感觉”就演完了，佛陀一来世间，一转法，三界为之震动，众生离苦得乐，这是真实发生的。
乙：那么，有人说，山河大地都在演法。这个，你怎么解释？
甲：山河大地，既是“道-演”，也是“道-运”啊！
乙：此话怎讲？
甲：太明白不过了。您看，月球和太阳，这两个既是在表道之法，即太阳的光源代表如来之光，月亮的光代表第二光源-反射光。也分别表示佛的根本智和众生智。而这些不仅是在表法，也是宇宙的真实运行情况。
乙：那么，地球上的山河大地又怎么说？
甲：也简单啊！中国老话说“人奸地薄，货物抽条”，就是在说“道演”呢？它既是演也是运呀。
乙：你的意思，山河大地的变化与人心有关？
甲：没错。
（正说着时，乙打了个喷嚏。）
甲：你看，你鼻子有反应了吧，“说曹操，曹操就到啊”！
乙：什么呀？这与道有关吗？
甲：正在此时，有人无意中，用真心想到你了，你的“鼻道”就感应了。
乙：不是吧。为什么是鼻子，而不是嗓子发声-咳嗽呢？
甲：鼻子是人最先长出来的。
乙：噢，那还好，躲过咳嗽了。
（整个宇宙都在表法，在法之下运行）
（人类即使不在太空飞行，也是宇宙的一部分）
（光是法的最简单的表现方式）（佛陀应世，也在表法转法）

A: Any phenomenon or matter can be seen as the masterpiece of Tao.
B: Although it can say like that, there is a problem to be illustrated.
A: What?
B: Is everything in the world for Tao performing or is operating?
A: Has it any distinction between them?
B: For me, it was different. If Tao is performing itself like a play, it will be not real but if it operates, it will be real.
A: What you said was reasonable in life but not a Tao’s fact.
B: What is Tao’s fact?
A: it is like a round of Chess and there can not be revocable move after done so performing is very operating.
B: It shouldn’t be like that, Tao should perform a scene or plot for its audiences to better understand Tao’s principle or laws.
A: Hum, indeed, there is a situation as you said, for example, Buddha came to the world just like this state to teach us but this matter isn’t a play, Tao made it so and it also a response to living beings.
B: Then, it was said that mountains and rivers all perform Tao. What do you say about it?
A: Mountains, earth and rivers do not only perform Tao but also operate for it.
B: How to explain it?
A: It was too simple. You see, moon and sun, the two stars are on both performing and operating. The sun’s light represents the original light of Tathagata and moon’s light as the second one for reflecting sun’s. The most important things are that they stand for two wisdoms of fundamental and living beings.
B: So what are about mountains and rivers on the earth?
A: Simple too, Chinese proverb says “if the land is infertile and goods strips in quantities just because of evil in human’s mind.” therefore, this situation are both performing and operating of Tao.
B: You meant the nature’s appearances have some to do with people’s heart.
A: Of course.
(B sneezed a bit when he is saying.)
A: look, your nose had a respond to Tao like the saying says “Cao cao comes when you call his name.”
B: Does it have a link to Tao?
A: just at the time some one recalls up you naturely with his real heart so your nose did a response.
B: It shouldn’t be that, why was my nose instead of my throat?
A: Because your nose came at first.
